Andy Campbell is the owner and independent consultant of AB Strategic Consulting , as well as a principal partner at Pellasota Consulting, a full suite food and beverage consulting practice. Andy has 15 years experience working in the food, ag, and education industries, compiling unique and valuable skills in marketing, operations, training, management, and entrepreneurship. As a marketing professor for seven years, Andy honed his public speaking skills and ability to develop and execute customized training programs. As marketing director for the largest food testing provider in North America, Andy successfully fortified a highly-recognized brand, built a digital marketing strategy, and developed a loyal base of clients in the food industry, resulting in a doubling of inbound marketing leads. Knowing the core of your business is a strength that Andy leverages with years of experience as a process engineer and operations lead in one of the world’s largest CPG food companies. Collective experience within the industry ingrained a deep understanding of the paramount importance of relationship building, customer acquisition and retention for growing food businesses.
In addition to his large company experiences, Andy was one of four founders of a data analytics start-up, bringing a quantitative approach to every strategic and tactical plan. With an engineering and entrepreneurial background, you can be assured that programs are detailed in design and practical in implementation.
Andy graduated from The University of Iowa’s College of Engineering in 2004 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and again, after time in industry, from Iowa’s Tippie School of Management with a Masters of Business Administration in 2008.
Andy resides in Pella, Iowa with his wife and three kids. They spend their time immersed in kids’ activities, Crossfit, adventure races (will not turn down any physical challenge!), and helping manage and operate his family farm in Northern Iowa.
